Dr. Christopher Rosborough grew up in Wimberley, TX and graduated from Howard Payne University in 2008. Upon graduation, he married the love of his life, Danielle Rosborough, and they ventured up the path of academia. After achieving degrees in music from Mercer University (M.M. in Vocal Performance) and Louisiana State University (D.M.A. in Choral Conducting), the Rosborough family made it back home to Howard Payne University where Dr. Rosborough is currently the Director of Choral Activities. Concurrent with their academic journey, Chris and Danielle have played active roles in music ministry in various genres and styles, from Medieval to Modern. Spending the majority of their ministry in Methodist circles, they have served at Milledgeville First United Methodist and Mulberry Methodist in Georgia, First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge, LA, and are proud to now be serving at Midtown. They have three beautiful children.

Dr. Chris’ life verse is Isaiah 61:1-4

1The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; 3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion-- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. 4 They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

Tori Petersheim

Youth Minister, midtownyouth.brownwood@gmail.com

Tori is originally from Flower Mound, TX - she's been serving in youth ministry since 2021 and began to feel a call to vocational ministry in the Summer of 2022. A graduate of Texas A&M with a BA in Psychology, she is currently studying to get her MA in Youth and Family Ministry at Howard Payne University!

One of Tori’s life verses is 2 Corinthians 3:4-6.

“Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant-not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”

Tori’s hope and prayer for the youth at Midtown are that they encounter Christ on a personal level in which they truly approach Him as their High Priest, who can relate to them on all levels, with the greatest understanding and love for them.
